One of my favorite places for inspiration is to look to the past – it’s always surprising how modern images my favorite images photographed by my favorites Louise Dal Wolfe or Richard Avedon from up to 90 years ago can feel with a little reinvention. While at the Vermeer exhibit at the Louvre, I came across these studies of two different women clothed in the same fresh color palette of gold, grey, white, and pink which feels perfect for the transition to spring. I am always amazed that inspiration can be just as relavent from the distant past, in this case from over 500 years ago.
