One of my favorite places for inspiration is to look to the past – it’s always surprising how modern images my favorite images photographed by my favorites Louise Dal Wolfe or Richard Avedon from up to 90 years ago can feel with a little reinvention. While at the Vermeer exhibit at the Louvre, I came across these studies of two different women clothed in the same fresh color palette of gold, grey, white, and pink which feels perfect for the transition to spring. I am always amazed that inspiration can be just as relavent from the distant past, in this case from over 500 years ago.
See below for two ideas on how to style, including one with the self-portrait blouse that has been popping up  everywhere and is a must have for the season.
