NYFW Style Inspiration

We have come to the end of another season of New York Fashion Week and beyond –  thus bringing us a whole new variety of stunning pieces to covet! If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait until fall to start incorporating some of the looks into your everyday style. Read on for my favorite three trends with tips on how to style now!

We started to see a major resurgence of tie dye for spring and summer collections, and it won’t be slowing down anytime soon. While some designers are showing psychedelic iterations, others are showing more subdued versions. Start incorporating the trend now by adding a pop of it to a pair of sneakers and pairing with a dress for a street-style vibe or add some fun to your workwear by switching up your under-blazer blouse with a tie-dye tee or a chic skirt. Weekend wear becomes playful by switching out jeans with a pair of utility tie-dye pants.

Another trend I’m loving is the ongoing animal print obsession. NYFW gave us a slight twist by featuring animal prints in a variety of bright colors. You can go as big or small as you want with this look, whether you want your full outfit to be a statement with a full-on python-print dress or an added accessory in an otherwise monochromatic outfit. Try incorporating accessories like belts and bags to start showing off your wild side!

Patchwork is another amazing craze we saw on the runways in shows like Bode and Michael Kors. Patchwork styles range from playful to chic depending on the colors you choose. Play with textures by pairing a patchwork tee or blouse and a pleated skirt or for a casual style, opt for patchwork denim, leather sneakers, and minimal accessories.
