It’s All About Perspective – Quarantined or Backyard Staycation

As summer begins and we continue to stay socially distanced, our plans have likely drastically changed. Even though tropical vacations and beach getaways are not an option, I’m determined to create my own summer fun! Whether you have access to a pool or you’re soaking up rays in a backyard or on a rooftop, you can set up your space for ideal vacation vibes.

First step – find the perfect chair for lounging to start your scheme. Fold-out options are ideal options for more limited space, and they come in an array of joyful prints. Rattan and wicker chairs are always a great bet if you’re looking for something a bit more neutral. Of course, you’ll need a fabulous beach towel as well. There are so many colorful options available – I especially adore those with a bit of a retro feel!

And whether your summertime drink of choice is a Moscow mule, margarita, wine, or lemonade, you can carry your DIY vacation vibe through to your drinkware. Tinted glass in sherbet colors is an instant summer classic! Plus, festive cocktails in colorful glasses will win you points with whoever you are quarantined with. For final touches, be sure to personalize your oasis with fun extras that will keep the party going, no matter how small. Try a novelty inflatable pool float, a speaker that doubles as a lantern, or a gorgeous outdoor bar cart for added summertime smiles!
