Another NYFW come and gone, and I’m so excited about all that’s to come for spring 2020! Of course, we have some time before we get there, but we can absolutely start adding in some of my favorite trends now.

Animal print has been taking over runways the past few seasons, but spring 2020 promises us a new trend. Black and white graphic prints like checker and polka dots were seen in shows like Marc Jacobs, Khaite, and Sandy Liang. As we head into fall, incorporate the trend into your sweaters, suiting, or even in an accessory like a handbag.

Dramatic fringe was all the rage on the New York runways. Designers like Christian Siriano, Area, and Gabriela Hearst showcased exciting pieces where the fringe was the star. A more wearable take on this trend for now is fringe as a playful, unexpected detail – whether it’s for your day wear or for a night out.

If you’re thinking of adding something sparkly to your fall jewelry rotation, consider pearls with a twist. At the Tory Burch, Jason Wu, and Anna Sui shows, pearls made strong appearances. But don’t worry, these aren’t your grandmother’s pearls. Interesting shapes add a bit of intrigue to the classic jewel. And the best part is: this trend couldn’t be easier to start wearing! From the office to dinner, these pieces define modern elegance.

Enjoy the start of fall and don’t be afraid to get ahead of the curve with these amazing trends!
