Another Fashion Month has come and gone – this year was certainly a unique one, but certainly not without exciting new trends. On the last stop of this year’s runways, a giant crop of covetable outfits emerged from the fashion capital of the world. From Paris, we saw designers showcase their designs in new and creative ways and offered wearable escapism. We were reminded of the joy in dressing up in the forms of new silhouettes and fresh color trends. I’m way too excited about some of these trends to wait until spring and if you’re anything like me, you’re ready to incorporate the Parisian runways into your wardrobe now!

The models of Chanel, Miu Miu, and Isabel Marant showed a lot of leg on the runways. Yes, hemlines will be getting shorter in Spring 2021, but we don’t have to wait to hop on the trend. In fact, if a mini skirt intimidates you, cleverly layering now will help ease you into the trend. Pair yours with chunky sweaters or turtlenecks, oversized coats, tights, and boots. Enjoy all the fabrics and patterns you can play with in this silhouette – from tweed to leather to stripes.

The celebration of the love of clothing was evident from Maison Margiela, Y/Project, and Loewe. These designers reminded us of the process of creating their pieces by offering an emphasis on clothing construction. We’re sure to be seeing more and more deconstructed statement pieces and exposed stitching on all types of items. Make whichever piece you choose is the star of your outfit and keep the rest of your ensemble muted.

During Fashion Month, there’s always a color that emerges as the standout. In Paris, we saw shades of orange splashed across the runways, from Acne to Altuzarra to Givenchy. Whether muted or electric, orange hues are delightful to add to our wardrobes now. Blouses and sweaters in an orange will add a little smile to your day, but if you’re not quite ready to go all the way, try an accessory with a monochrome black or beige outfit.

J’adore these trends and I can’t wait to start playing around with them now! I hope you’re as inspired as I am by the runways of this year’s Fashion Month!
