What would summer be without a swimwear update? Even though we are sunbathing at home, we can still go the extra mile with our outfits for everyday and the holiday weekend! I’m highlighting some of my favorite swimwear trends for 2020 on today’s edit, but don’t stop there! Go full-on cabana with cheery cover-ups and accessories. Dressing the part will trick your brain into much-needed vacation mode!
This year, I’m loving the continuation of many runway trends as they’ve carried over into beach wear. If you were concerned the tie dye craze was dying down, you certainly will be able to find a wide array of swimsuits that are keeping the trend going. If you’re not a fan of loud print, try solid swimwear with ribbed texture in silhouettes like one-shoulder to keep things fresh. If you love a retro look, try a belted swimsuit – beyond flattering! Other favorite options include polka dot prints, crochet bikinis, and unexpected glitter.

The ultimate look takes you from beach to dinner by adding a stylish cover-up over your bathing suit. Do the same at home with an undone short sleeved button up in a tropical print – effortless and cool. Or try easy, breezy dresses and sarongs in fabrics and colors that are the party!

And what would summer be without sunglasses? This year, play with shapes of all kind! From micro rectangle to classic cat-eye to oversized and round, this year’s crop of sunglasses offer a hint of nostalgia from different decades. For added protection, add a wide brimmed hat – these double now as a way to block sun and as a barrier for staying distant!
