September is notorious for being one of the most difficult months to dress for. While you might be itching to start wearing your coziest pieces, the high temperatures seem never-ending. So how do we dress for fall right now without breaking a sweat?
One of my go-to outfits for this transitional period is mid-length floral dresses. The print and length make it easy to take from summer with sandals to fall with ankle or knee-high leather boots. Once it gets a little colder, you can add tights and a coat to keep this boho-inspired outfit in your rotation.
Blazers instantly add polish to any outfit. I’m loving anything but basic black blazers that can be worn now back to jeans and a tee or later over a sweater and your go-to work pants. Lightweight options in fun colors or bold prints allow you to keep everything else simple, making these options a great way to switch up your every day ensemble.
Even though it’s not quite sweater weather yet, lightweight knits are handy for when the nights start to get a bit cooler and will serve as easy layering as temperatures continue to drop. Try a cropped cardigan as a top or a short-sleeved knit paired back to high-waisted wide-leg jeans or skirts.
